Hello there! And welcome to The Algorithm Edit. If you are living in the world these days, you can’t escape AI. The buzzwords “AI”, “LLM”, “GPU” and “ML” are all around. It is being integrated into every aspect of our lives. As an AI researcher myself, I am finding the pace of adoption mostly positive and indeed very exciting. But, when discussing these topics with my friends and family, to them, the excitement is overshadowed by a cloud of apprehension and worry. This, I believe, is mostly driven by a misunderstanding. I realise to those outside of the AI community, the word ‘AI’ is surrounded by so much jargon, it can make the whole topic feel unreachable.

So, I have created The Algorithm Edit to help overcome this feeling. This is a place where everyone can come to learn something new about AI. If you have found your way here, you are either; a keen AI enthusiast, or a beginner with a passion to learn. Or maybe you have this have landed here by mistake – if so, please hear me out! Whatever your intentions, I hope to demystify the world of AI and provide everyone with enough knowledge to help you form your own judgments and opinions.

My goal is simple; to make you knowledgeable enough on this topic to empower you to form your own opinions.

I will be sharing short and easy to consume blog posts across all important parts of AI. From hardware accelerators (aka the major role of NVIDIA), all the way to how the algorithms learn under the hood. My ‘Primer’ series will be describing the AI fundamentals. These topics, I believe, are critical for a baseline understanding of what AI is all about. They should help to educate, or remind, the world on the journey the AI community has taken. I feel it is so important that everyone can understand this world. We all should have the ability to discuss this topic with a common understanding.

My ‘Frontier’ series will follow the AI news. Through here we shall discuss the latest breakthroughs – with an independent, no-nonsense, factual viewpoint. I have found it so difficult to keep up with breakthroughs; especially when the news only gives you so much information. There is usually a much more complicated story under the hood. Here we will discuss these breakthroughs by diving into the work of these researchers.
